1. Information We Collect
Information you provide — Riders
- Account information: Full name, email address, and password.
- Contact information: Phone number, collected for RiverRun internal use only — including account support, safety communications, and operational needs. Your phone number is not shared with Drivers as part of the standard ride experience.
- Payment information: Credit or debit card details, collected and processed by Stripe. RiverRun does not store your full card number.
- Ride information: Pickup and drop-off locations, scheduled date and time, number of riders, ride type, and any notes you provide.
- Agreement records: Acceptance timestamps for Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
Information you provide — Drivers
In addition to the above, Drivers provide:
- Vehicle information including make, model, year, color, and license plate
- Driver's license information and driving history
- Insurance documentation and proof of coverage
- Identity verification information
- Motor vehicle record and background screening information
- Driver Agreement acceptance records
Information collected automatically
- Location data: We collect GPS location data to verify driver arrival at pickup locations and support ride accountability.
- Ride event timestamps: All ride status events (requested, accepted, en route, arrived, completed) are digitally timestamped and logged.
- Device information: Push notification tokens: Collected and stored to deliver ride-related push notifications. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings.
- Communication records: In-app messages and ride coordination communications may be retained.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account
- Facilitate connections between Riders and independent Drivers through our marketplace
- Process ride bookings and payments
- Send ride confirmations, receipts, and status updates via push notification, SMS and email
- Review and approve Driver applications, including verifying license, insurance, vehicle, and background information
- Support ride accountability, GPS-assisted arrival verification, and ride documentation
- Investigate and respond to safety incidents, ride disputes, and insurance coordination
- Provide customer support
- Comply with legal obligations
- Improve our platform and develop new features
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
With drivers and riders
When a ride is matched through the platform, limited ride information is shared between the Rider and the independent Driver to facilitate the shuttle. Your phone number is not shared with Drivers as part of the standard ride experience. You agree not to use Driver information for any purpose outside the Platform.
With service providers
- Stripe: Payment processing and transaction management.
- Google Firebase: App infrastructure, authentication, and data storage.
- Expo: Push notification delivery.
For safety and legal reasons
RiverRun may preserve or disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or court order; necessary for safety review or incident investigation; relevant to insurance coordination or claims processes; or necessary to protect platform users or business operations.
4. Ride Records and Data Retention
RiverRun maintains digital ride records that may include ride request information, route details, scheduled pickup times, driver assignments, ride status updates, timestamped ride events, payment transaction records, communication activity, and incident reports. Ride data is retained for operational, support, payment, safety review, and legal compliance purposes.
Account information is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at support@riverrunapp.com.
5. Location Data
RiverRun requests access to your device's GPS location to support ride accountability controls, including arrival verification at pickup locations. Location data may be affected by device limitations, environmental conditions, or network availability.
You can revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings. Revoking location access for Drivers will prevent GPS-assisted arrival verification from functioning.
6. Push Notifications and Communications
You agree to receive communications including SMS, push notifications, phone calls, and email from RiverRun and Drivers for purposes related to ride coordination, safety, and service updates. You can disable push notifications through your device settings at any time.
7. Incident Documentation
Incident-related records may be retained for operational, legal, insurance, safety, or compliance purposes. RiverRun may limit disclosure of incident information except where disclosure is legally required, necessary for insurance coordination, or necessary for safety review.
8. Children's Privacy
RiverRun requires account holders to be at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
9. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission and secure cloud storage. RiverRun does not store full payment card information directly within the platform. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
10. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@riverrunapp.com.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of RiverRun after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
